New reception and terrace at Sue Ryder Care - Leckhampton Court Hospice

24 August 2008

Following approval from the Department of Health for our grant application and permission from local planning, building works are due to commence on site on 26 August. We will remain open for patients throughout and everything is being done to minimise disruption to the smooth running of the in-patient unit.

We will be operating at almost capacity in the in-patient unit while the Day Hospice will continue to operate as per normal.

Developments include work to the historic entrance, the lift, toilets and the approach to the hospice.

None of the original fabric of the building will be disturbed during the works and normal access will be possible within the build.

Impact on Fundraising

Due to space restrictions and storage requirements while the building work is going on, we will be unable to hold coffee mornings or receive donated goods.

The Autumn Fayre,13 September, and Ryder Ramble, 12 October, will go ahead as usual but we will not be holding the Boxing Day Fun Run.

If you are able to help the Hospice during this time by holding your own coffee morning or another fundraising event, or would like more information about the Autumn Fayre or the Ryder Ramble, please contact the fundraising team on 01242 246293.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the temporary disruption.
